How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*The National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection (NACMPI) accomplishes its purpose by holding at least one meeting per year where the committee members meet and discuss topics of importance presented to them by the Food Safety and Inspection Service.
How is membership balanced?*The membership of the National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection (NACMPI) is balanced by ensuring that all stakeholders have representation on the committee through the appointment of equal numbers of members from the following groups: academia, consumer, industry, and state/local gov.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*Estimated Number of Meetings per Year - The committee generally meets once a year to discuss and make recommendations on topics designated by the Agency.
