How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*The Labor Research Advisory Council (LRAC) served in an advisory capacity with respect to technical problems arising out of the statistical work of the Bureau and on labor union uses of Bureau programs. The Council provided the Bureau with perspectives regarding ongoing and proposed programs in relation to labor union needs.
How is membership balanced?*The LRAC committee membership was comprised of economists, statisticians, and other research professionals of the AFL-CIO and independent Labor organizations in the US and reflecting the geographical, industrial and occupational sectors of the economy.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*The LRAC committees have not held meetings since the spring of 2005 and the committee was terminated effective November 27, 2007.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*LRAC membership consisted of members of labor unions and organizations who have technical knowledge of the Bureau's programs and could relate the needs of the labor unions with Bureau programs.LRAC was terminated on 11/27/07.
