How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The CSAC was established to advise the Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere on how to improve the accessibility, effectiveness, and use of NOAA's data, information, science, tools, and decision support that prepare our nation for droughts, floods, wildfires, heatwaves, and other impacts.
How is membership balanced?*	The Committee consisted of up to 20 non-Federal voting members appointed by the Under Secretary for their diverse perspectives, as well as expertise. Perspectives needed to accomplish the Committee’s tasks included, but were not necessarily limited to, the following: -Underserved and highly impacted communities, community-based organizations, and climate service users from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. -Affected interest groups, such as representatives from sectors including public health, affordable housing, food security, workforce and economic development, small businesses, and education. -Subnational governments, such as State and Local Government, community and city planners, state climatologists, and emergency managers. -Indigenous communities, such as representatives from Indian tribes, Alaska Native corporations, Alaska Native organizations, tribal organizations, and Native Hawaiian organizations. -Non-profit, philanthropic, and other non-governmental organizations involved in climate issues. Members served as Representatives given the need to hear the perspectives of a diverse set of climate service users from a broad range of disciplines and backgrounds. Membership balance was intended not to be static, and the points of view needed were subject to change depending on the work of the Committee.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	No committee meetings were held prior to the termination of the committee. However, it was intended that the Climate services Advisory Committee would meet twice annually.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	There were no other Federal advisory committees capable of providing the same breadth of advice on NOAA's climate services and existing mechanisms for feedback were narrowly focused and short-term.

Recommendation Remarks	Per EO 14217, the Secretary of Commerce determined that the purposes for which the Climate Services Advisory Committee was established were fulfilled, and the committee was terminated effective February 28, 2025.
