How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Advisory Council on Children's Education Television is established by statute to advise the Secretary of Commerce on matters related to the administration of the National Endowment for Children's Educational Television (NECET).
How is membership balanced?*	Advisory Council membership was carefully selected to conform to the statutory mandate that members have expertise in the fields of education, psychology, child development, or television programming, or related disciplines.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	No meetings of the Advisory Council on Children's Education Television were held during this fiscal year. NECET did not receive a Congressional appropriation for this fiscal year. If future Congressional appropriations to NECET are made, it is anticipated that the Advisory Council will continue to meet one to three times a year, usually for one day, in Washington, DC to advise the Secretary on matters related to the administration of NECET, particularly the development of program guidelines and related evaluation criteria.
