How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Advisory Board meets twice yearly and receives a program update from the Director and Corporation leadership, and advises the Director on program goals and objectives. Strategy sessions occur at the meetings that focus on high priority issue areas related to program operations, such as the mobilization of members and coordination of member efforts in local communities.
How is membership balanced?*	The board includes representatives of community-based organizations, NCCC alumni, education, industry, and statutorily appointed members.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The Charter currently provides for two meetings a year. These meetings focus on the NCCC's overall mission, especially as it relates to responding to disasters such as hurricanes, fires, floods, and tornados.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	42 USC Section 12623 established the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps Advisory Board to advise the Director concerning the administration of this division and to assist in the development of the Corps.

Agency Feedback Comment*	Feedback is provided to Advisory Board members through meeting minutes, updates and during the annual meeting. The Board did not meet in FY23 and all members expired in FY18 and no new members have yet been appointed.	Narrative Description*	The Advisory Board supports and promotes outreach to the constituents and stakeholders to expand NCCC involvement in the Corporation's strategic intiatives. Under the Serve America Act the Advisory Board has an expanded role that involves helping to coordinate activities with the Corps as appropriate, including the mobilization of volunteers and coordination of volunteer centers to help local communities recover from the effects of natural and other disasters.
