How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Census Bureau National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic and Other Populations provided advice on the full range of economic, housing, demographic, socioeconomic, linguistic, technological, methodological, geographic, behavioral and operational variables affecting the cost, accuracy and implementation of Census Bureau programs and surveys, including the decennial census.
How is membership balanced?*	Membership was comprised of committee members reflecting geography, age, gender, race, ethnicity, technical expertise, community involvement and knowledge of census programs and/or activities.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	During this reporting period, the National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic and Other Populations met once November 7 - 8, 2024. The committee was terminated Feb. 28, 2025.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	The Committee was needed to provide advice on census policies, research and methodology, tests, operations, communications, messaging and other activities to ascertain needs and best practices to improve censuses, surveys, operations, and programs. The Committee was needed to provide expertise while balancing known challenges of cost containment with maintaining our commitment to high quality data. The information and advice this Committee provided could not have been obtained effectively and efficiently from any other source. In the absence of this Committee, the Census Bureau would have obtained this information from paid consultants, individuals, or community groups across the United States. There were no other sources available in one place to obtain this kind of advice in a timelier and cost-efficient manner.

Recommendation Remarks	The National Advisory Committee submitted one set [2024 Fall Meeting (November 7 - 8)] of recommendations in FY 2025. Per EO 14217, the Secretary of Commerce has determined that the purposes for which the Committee was established have been fulfilled, and the committee has been terminated effective February 28, 2025.
