How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*SIPPRA requires commission members to have expertise in finance, economics, pay-for-performance, or program evaluation. The Commission will make recommendations to the Treasury regarding funding of social impact partnership grant agreements and feasibility study grants.
How is membership balanced?*NA- Statute dictates membership.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*Meetings are held as needed to review applications for funding and make recommendations. In FY24, the Commission met for two administrative meetings, five subcommittee meetings, and one public meeting.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*The committee will allow the federal government to benefit from the knowledge, financial expertise and Pay For Success expertise of the committee members appointed by Congressional leaders. Congress established the committee by statute.
Why close or partially close meetings?Meetings may be partially closed or closed for discussions of grant applications and/or discussion or deliberation of information not yet available to the general public.
