How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	Federal geospatial programs are highly dependent upon partnerships and coordination with external groups, including State, local and Tribal governments, and non-profit and private sector partners. The NGAC plays an important role in providing a forum to convey views representative of non-Federal partners in the geospatial community and reviewing and commenting upon geospatial policy and management issues.
How is membership balanced?*	FGDC has worked to ensure a balanced committee membership that reflects the variety of viewpoints within the geospatial community. The Committee is composed of up to 30 representatives or special Government employees who are selected to generally achieve a balanced representation of the viewpoints of the various stakeholders involved in national geospatial activities. Selection of Committee members includes consideration of geographic balance. The Committee membership includes balanced representation from among, but not limited to, the following stakeholder groups involved in the geospatial community: - Federal Government - State government - County government - Regional government - City/Municipal government - Tribal government - Private sector - User industries - Professional associations - Non-profit organizations - Academia.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The NGAC meets 2-4 times per year. In FY 2024, the NGAC had two public meetings. The meetings have been well-attended, substantive, and productive.
