How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) provides a meaningful and timely opportunity for a wide range of stakeholders to discuss emerging pesticide regulatory, policy and program implementation issues on a routine basis. Early and constructive feedback has been essential to the development of new policies and to the consideration of options for revising existing policies. Moreover, PPDC provides an opportunity for stakeholders with opposing viewpoints to debate issues and air concerns, and thus gain a more complete understanding of each other's point of view. Accomplishments for FY 2025: PPDC met twice in FY 2025 on November 13-14, 2024, and on June 17, 2025. The committee discussed a variety of pesticide program regulatory and implementation issues. At the Fall meeting in November 2024, the four PPDC workgroups, on emerging pathogens implementation committee, pesticide resistance management, pesticide label reform, and farmworker shared presentations. EPIC and Pesticide Resistance Management submitted final reports and sunsetted. At the meeting, programmatic updates were provided to members, such as on the Office of Pesticide Program's Endangered Species Act and its activities. Drone risk assessments and biocontrol were also discussed. The PPDC voted to form a new workgroups, Cross-sector Priorities. At the June 2025 meeting, the three PPDC workgroups, on pesticide label reform, farmworker, and cross-sector priorities presented. Pesticide label reform submitted their final report and sunsetted. At the meeting, programmatic updates were provided to members, such as on the Office of Pesticide Program's Endangered Species Act and its activities. How is membership balanced?*	Membership balance and diversity is key to our ability to gain a broad representation of viewpoints. An extensive effort is undertaken every two years to ensure diversity and broad participation from across the country. The following sectors are represented: environmental/public interest groups; farm worker and environmental justice representatives; animal welfare organizations, industry and trade associations; user and commodity groups; academia; public health organizations; federal and state governments; tribal organizations; and the general public. The committee membership was renewed in December 2023 and terms will expire in December 2025.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	For FY 2025, two meetings were held on November 13-14, 2024 and June 17, 2025.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	Pesticide issues affect virtually every citizen in this country and are often highly visible through the Agency's regulatory actions and efforts to continuously improve the registration and review processes so that safer products can be brought to market. There are no other routinely scheduled forums that provide an early, predictable and meaningful opportunity for the broad representation of stakeholders on the PPDC to meet and publicly debate key evolving pesticide policy, regulatory and program implementation issues. There are many important pesticide regulatory and policy issues that will benefit from the PPDC forum where diverse viewpoints are aired and a meaningful opportunity is provided for all sides of the issues to be debated openly and constructively. Without the PPDC, feedback would only be available through public comments in writing or through meetings with individual groups or organizations which, considering the large number of organizations and groups that are interested in and affected by pesticide issues, would be much more resource-intensive.

Recommendation Remarks	All PPDC members are Tier 1 (parent committee members). There are no Tier 2 (subcommittee) members serving. The PPDC is currently considering the formation of new workgroups/Tier 3 Committees to help achieve the committee's work.

Cost Savings Comment	Advice and recommendations provided through dialogue sessions of this committee cover a wide range of pesticide regulatory and program implementation issues. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to calculate the enormous benefit of receiving broad stakeholder engagement and feedback through this transparent and collegial process regarding a broad spectrum of pesticide issues. While the members typically represent opposing viewpoints, they appreciate that their voice is heard and their comments are being considered, and that the Agency engages is a very transparent way, bringing issues to the forefront early and before the Agency has determined its course of action. OPP also continues to establish work groups so that issues of concern to the stakeholders can be brought before the Agency to be discussed and deliberated in a transparent way.	Narrative Description*	The PPDC supports EPA's Goal 1 - Deliver real results to provide Americans with clean air, land, and water, and ensure chemical safety. Also, Objective 1.4 - Ensure Safety of Chemicals in the Marketplace. PPDC supports the Agency's strategic goals and priorities, i.e., to prevent and reduce chemical, organism and pesticide risks to humans, communities and ecosystems from pests and disease by ensuring the availability of pesticides, including public health pesticides and antimicrobial products, that meet the latest safety standards. PPDC also supports goals of other key cross-Agency programs, i.e., the Children's Health Protection Program, the Office of Water's Drinking Water and Permitting Programs.
