How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Clean Air Act Advisory Committee (CAAAC) provides advice and recommendations to EPA on important policy issues related to air quality management in the United States.
How is membership balanced?*	The CAAAC is composed of senior representatives from a diverse group of the federal government, state, tribal and local government, academic institutions, environmental and public interest groups, industries, and trade associations. This membership provides a balance between public and private segments of society affected by, and interested in, the implementation of the Clean Air Act. The Mobile Sources Technical Review Subcommittee (MSTRS) has representation from each of these stakeholder groups as well.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The CAAAC meets approximately two to three times each year to advise on air issues related to the implementation of the Clean Air Act. The Mobile Sources Technical Review Subcommittee (MSTRS) meets twice annually. Workgroups have more frequent meetings to accomplish their charges.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	The CAAAC provides consensus advice and counsel to the Agency on the complex topics of effective air quality implementation and management, while also augmenting stakeholder input that the agency receives in other forums.

Recommendation Remarks	The Clean Air Act Advisory Committee has one Tier 2 committee, the Mobile Sources Technical Review Subcommittee (MSTRS). MSTRS held two hybrid meetings in FY 2024, November 29, 2023 and May 30, 2024. CAAAC held a hybrid meeting on December 7, 2023, a virtual meeting on June 25, 2024, and a hybrid meeting on September 17-18, 2024
