How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	TVA Board established the RERC to provide TVA advice on its energy resource activities and the priorities among competing objectives and values.
How is membership balanced?*	Membership shall consist of persons possessing demonstrated professional or personal qualifications relevant to TVA's energy resource activities and shall include a broad range of diverse views and interests including environmental, industrial, business, consumer, educational and community leadership interests.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	For FY24, the RERC met 4 times. Typically, the RERC meets only twice per year. There were additional meetings this year as the RERC is tasked with giving TVA advice on our Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The IRP is TVA's roadmap to the future as to how we will build out our electric system of the future and has analysis done on 6 different scenarios that will impact TVA's future energy needs. With the excess information that needed to be consumed by the RERC, we had extra meetings to make this happen.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	It is in TVA's interest and in the interest of the public it serves, to establish a mechanism for routinely obtaining the views and advice of other public and private entities and individuals involved with, and interested in, the development and management of energy resources in the Tennessee Valley region.

The RERC largely approved our handling of the Valley Pathways Study, and they gave us more insight on what the Valley Pathways group can do after the initial study. The RERC also gave us advice on the IRP and what additional items we needed to consider before releasing our draft IRP. Narrative Description*	TVA has been charged with the wise use and conservation of the natural resources of the Tennessee River drainage basin and adjoining territory for the general purpose of fostering the orderly and proper physical, economic, and social development of the Tennessee Valley region. To help achieve this mission, TVA has created and operates the Nation's largest public power system, serving more than 10 million people in parts of 7 southeastern states. The Regional Energy Resource Council was established to provide TVA advice on its energy resource activities and the priorities among competing objectives and values.
