How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The EAC provides advice and recommendations from experts in academia and the international development community to inform MCC's design, implementation, and evaluation of threshold and compact programs. The EAC meets twice per calendar year.
How is membership balanced?*	When making appointments to the EAC, MCC considers areas of expertise, organizational diversity, gender, and regional experience. Efforts will be made to include expertise from developing countries, within resource constraints of the MCC to support logistic costs.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The EAC meets semi-annually in a hybrid virtual and in-person format.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	The EAC provides a structured forum to engage with the academic and broader development community on issues related to best practices and new methods to accomplish MCC's mission.

Agency Feedback Comment*	EAC members share their feedback and recommendations with MCC via (i) written comments in advance of meetings, (ii) during meetings as part of an organic Q&A discussion among colleagues and MCC staff, and (iii) via other written documents. In all cases, the feedback is discussed in the next EAC meeting.	Narrative Description*	The Millennium Challenge Corporation is dedicated to analytic rigor and evidence-based decision making in the design and development of its assistance to low-income countries. Central to this is the use of high quality and up-to-date tools to understand the drivers of sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction. MCC is also deeply committed to rigorous evaluation of its work in order to both understand and learn from practice, as well as to report on and be accountable for results. MCC’s Economic Advisory Council (“EAC”) was created to pursue both these objectives and systematically apply the latest research and findings from development economics, applied economic methods, poverty analytics, evaluation methods, and modeling, measuring, and evaluating development interventions. Convening experts in an advisory role will serve to inform MCC’s compact and threshold program development and measurement of results, shape future policy decisions and methodology, and enhance program outcomes in MCC’s partner countries.
