How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The LBL Advisory Board accomplishes its purpose by providing advice from a broad representation of diverse interests and increasing the frequency of advice that USDA receives from the public and private sectors in regard to environmental education and a means for promoting public participation for the land and resource management plan for LBL.
How is membership balanced?*	To provide a balanced membership, members are selected from throughout Kentucky and Tennessee states wildlife commissions, the Secretary of Agriculture, and from the counties bordering LBL by the Judge Executives and Mayor. Membership represents and includes a broad range of diverse views and interests, including recreational, environmental, commercial, educational, and community leadership interests.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The Regional Forester, Southern Region, or designee, serves as chairperson of the Board. The LBL Advisory Board meets at the call of the chairperson, with concurrence of the DFO to discuss issues relevant to the mission of the Board. The Board shall meet at least twice a year.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	Public Law 105-277 required the establishment of the The Land Between the Lakes Advisory Board. The Board provides the Secretary with advice from a group in the region on environmental education and the promotion of public participation for LBL's land and resource management plan.
