How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The diversified council meets quarterly to discuss small business issues as well as new policies concerning small business that are effective throughout the state of Florida.
How is membership balanced?*	Membership is created using SBA local partnerships and recommendations from all areas of Northern Florida. The membership is very diverse in terms of the professions of the members.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	Estimated Number of Meetings per Year - 4 Estimated Total Meetings - The meetings are held quarterly.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	This committee is essential, because it provides an opportunity to promote SBA programs and services effectively throughout the North Florida District. The Council aslo serves as a voice of small business to report to the SBA the needs and wants of the small busines community. We rely heavily on the opinions of the Advisory Council.
Why close or partially close meetings?	Meetings are usually open and publsihed in the Federal Register.
Recommendation Remarks	The council was deemed no longer essential to agency business and was shut down as a result. The agency CMO reports that Performance Measure data did not change from FY 11 for FY 12.. (KF/02-06-13)

Narrative Description*	The North Florida District Advisory Council Acts as the eyes and ears of the SBA North Florida District Office. The council is kept informed of all matters, from press releases to local events happening in their areas and national events. The council meets quarterly to discuss recommendations and to hear feedback from the council as to what recommendations and needs their communities and professions may have and how the SBA can assist. The council is very aware of the agency's mission and strategic plan and often speaks on behalf of the SBA. The Council is critical for the SBA North Florida District Office to hear the true needs of the small business comunities across the district as well as to share the SBA's mission and resources to North Florida Communities.
