How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	NAC members will examine the obstacles facing small businesses in their local area and recommend to SBA policies and programmatic changes to help strengthen SBA’s programs and services. Such advice and recommendations should include but not be limited to the following areas – government contracting, access to capital, export promotion, disaster assistance and technical assistance.
How is membership balanced?*	Members consist of business owners and community leaders, officials from small business oriented associations, academic institutions and Government agencies devoted to the promotion of small business. Members are representative of a cross section of industries from each region of the Nation.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The full Council will meet no more than two (2) times per year either in person or via national conference call. The Executive Committee or subcommittees of the NAC may meet more frequently, as needed.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	Its members provide an essential connection between SBA, and the small business community nationwide.
Why close or partially close meetings?	All meetings are open to the public and published in the Federal Register.
