Agency Feedback Comment*	NA	Narrative Description*	To assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in increasing its effectiveness and efficiency in advancing science, the NIH Office of Portfolio Analysis and Strategic Initiatives Council of Councils was established to provide guidance and advice on matters relating to the selection of potential trans-NIH strategic initiatives. These initiatives will address exceptional scientific opportunities and emerging public health needs. This committee was replaced with the committee created by Congress in January 2007 named the Council of Councils.
