Note: An Annual Comprehensive Review, as required by §7 of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, is conducted each year on committee data entered for the previous fiscal year (referred to as the reporting year). The data for the reporting year is not considered verified until this review is complete and the data is moved to history for an agency/department. See the Data From Previous Years section at the bottom of this page for the committee’s historical, verified data.

Details on agency responses to committee recommendations can be found under the Performance Measures section for each committee in the fields “Agency Feedback” and “Agency Feedback Comment.”

How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*The 2005 WHCoA delegates accomplished the purpose of the WHCoA by meeting at the WHCoA, December 11-14, 2005, voting on no more than 50 resolutions and then meeting in strategy sessions of their choosing and as time allowed to develop implementation strategies for each of the 50 resolutions. All of these resolutions and strategies were included in the Final Report to the President and Congress delivered on September 11, 2006.
How is membership balanced?*The 1200 delegates to the 2005 WHCoA, as voted upon by the Policy Committee, were selected by Governors of all 50 states as well as the Territories, DC and Puerto Rico, the Members of the 109th Congress, and the Policy Committee. Each Governor received an allotment of slots they could fill based upon their population of those age 55 and over, and each Member of Congress was allowed one delegate and one alternate. The Policy Committee filled the remaining slots.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*The delegates met once as a group - December 11 to 14, 2005 in Washington,D.C.
