How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The committee completed its report and advised the NASA Administrator on Mars exploration, including robotic exploration of Mars to search for evidence of life, to understand the history of the solar system, and to prepare for future human exploration. The Committee made several recommendations on human expeditions to Mars and the precursor robotic missions to gain adequate knowledge about the planet. Recommendations provided by the Committee will help guide Agency program prioritization, budget formulation, facilities and human capital planning, and technology investment.
