How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	This Committee is inactive and did not meet in FY 02. The committee's Final Report was submitted to the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Industrial Affairs and Installations in July 1996.
How is membership balanced?*	Seven Federal agencies were represented by statute. Private sector members represented the mining, fabricating, and processing industries and consumers affected by sales and purchases of Stockpile materials.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	While current, the committee met approximately once a quarter during its most active working periods. The committee did not meet during FY 2003.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	This is a statutory committee.
