How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*
How is membership balanced?*	The Committee consists of 16 members appointed by the President from outside the Federal Government. Committee members come from a wide variety of fields united by expertise and desire to contribute to a learning American. Members represent a rich spectrum of positions such as research specialist, university economics professors, community college president, training practitioner, learning technology specialist, information technology expert, and manufacturing association president.

Why close or partially close meetings?	It is anticipated that all full Committee meetings will be open to the public.
Recommendation Remarks	As stated in Executive Order 13111 Section 5 (4) (f), the committee shall terminate two years from the date of this order unless extended by the President prior to such date. An amendment to Executive Order 13111 was issued on January 12, 2001, extending the Advisory Committee on Expanding Training Opportunities to January 11, 2003.
