How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The IFI Advisory Commission tasked relevant experts to write papers and make presentations on selected topics for its education/edification. It studied and discussed those papers and then held hearings where it sought the views of interested witnesses. Toward the end of its tenure, the Commission began to formulate its views and recommendations to Congress. The Commission hired editors/writers to assist in the writing of its report to Congress. The Commission submitted its final report to Congress on March 8, 2000.
How is membership balanced?*	Membership, established by Congress, roughly reflects the balance of Republicans/Democrats in Congress. It is comprised of 6 Republican and five Democratic representatives.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The Commission met roughly once every three weeks and its agendas focused on the issues at hand as it prepared to write recommendations to Congress.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	Congress created the Commission to look at the roles of the various international financial institutions and asked the Commission to offer its views on whether these institutions should be changed.
