How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	Through their representation of the issues and concern that face the residents of St. Petersburg. The Commission advises the Federal government regarding the appropriateness of its proposed responses to the needs of the citizens.
How is membership balanced?*	The Commission consists of 11 members representing various interests. Five members are representatives of the Coalition of Africian-American Leadership. Three were selected by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and three members were selected by the mayor. The Commission has two co-chairs, selected by the Chairman of the Federal Task Force and the Mayor.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The Commission meets monthly, on the first Tuesday, from 4-6 p.m. The agendas of the meeting are established collaboratively between the co-chairs and the task force coordinator. Meetings are open to the public. During each meeting relevant information is discussed regarding the status of the efforts. Feedback is immediately integrated into the overall federal effort.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	The Commission is needed to provide broad-based community advice and recommendations to the federal departments and agencies participating as members on the St. Petersburg Task Force.
