How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Task Force is charged with identifying research gaps in the NIOSH Report to Congress on workers' home contamination, and proposed an investigative strategy for Federal agencies to fill those gaps. The final report from the Task Force has been prepared and is being reviewed by the agency Director. There has been no direct effect on agency operations during this fiscal year.
How is membership balanced?*	The Task Force is composed of members with expertise in industrial hygiene, medicine, nursing, veterinary medicine, epidemiology, agriculture, law, and toxicology. Many points of view are represented, including those of industry, labor, academia, and State and Federal government. Minority concerns including expertise in training Spanish-speaking migrant workers on safety and health are also represented. Working groups that balance these different points of view were formed to write the draft report.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	The Task Force did not meet during this fiscal year.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	The charge to the Committee was to develop a report to a NIOSH document on workers' home contamination. In order to assure that the scope of the problem be addressed in an unbiased manner, it was appropriate that a multidisciplinary committee with representatives from industry, labor, government, and academia, advise on the research needed and the strategy for conducting such research.
