How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	In the course of their efforts, the Advisory Committee convened two public meetings and several regional briefing to review the PCCIP's work and provide input on the recommendations. They also submitted a memorandum of advice to the President, the Vice President and the Pricipals Committee. Regional briefings to members were held in November 1997 in Los Anegles, Dallas, and Washington, D.C.
How is membership balanced?*	Membership on the Advisory Committee was balanced among the various critical infrastructures. The Advisory Committee consists primarily of CEOs and representatives of state and local government.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	Meetings were held when needed.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	Executive Order 13010, as amended, indicated that the PCCIP shall receive advice from an Advisory Committee composed of no more than 20 individuals appointed by the President from the private and public sectors who are knowledgeable about critical infrastructures. Advice is also provided to the Principals Committee.
Why close or partially close meetings?	Briefings of a confidential nature are being conducted.
Recommendation Remarks	Several members of the Advisory Committee visited the PCCIP's offices on July 9, 1998 and received a briefing on various issues related to the implementation of Presidential Decision Directive 63. This committee will be sponsored by the Department of Commerce effective 10/1/98.
