How does cmte accomplish its purpose?*	The Committee accomplished its purpose by completing a report and recommendations for the Federal government to remove barriers to the development of the Internet of Things as called for in Section 9204(b)(5) of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law No. 116-283)
How is membership balanced?*	Membership was balanced by ensuring members reflected the range of industry sectors, technical areas, and potential users including both business and consumer users of the Internet of Things. This range of expertise was called for in Section 9204(b)(5) of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law No. 116-283). Selection of members also takes into account considerations of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to enable a range of viewpoints to be present on the committee.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*	There were no meetings held in FY25 as the Board submitted their mandated report.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*	Section 9204(b)(5) of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law No. 116-283) calls for recommendations about Internet of Things technology as used in a wide range of civilian applications and sectors and addressing this technology from a wide range of viewpoints. This range of viewpoints is not currently available elsewhere.
